In Moses' words, Martin Luther King Jr. gave the most prophetic speech the night before his death. He talked about progress over time and how excited he was to live at this time, but the work was not yet complete. He fought for equal rights, he fought for freedom of assembly, freedom of speech and freedom of the press. He described how he had been to the mountaintop and seen the Promised Land. He wanted to live a long time and was not afraid of any man. The next day, he was killed on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.
